The Road Less Traveled
Katie's Missions in Austria and Europe
"Be strong and courageous because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their anscestors to give them." Joshua 1:6
About Katie and the Vision for Europe
ONCE UPON A TIME....
Once upon a time, in a small town in the far-off land of Minnesota, there was a girl. A shy, dreamy little girl named Katie, who said, "I'm not a good enough Christian to be a missionary, and I will never have enough money to travel to other countries." And the God of the universe laughed.
THE VISION
That little girl grew into a young woman who was not so shy. God won her heart like the hero of the story always does, and whisked her away to Europe. There, he showed her a team to join and gave her a vision: She saw the epicenter of an earthquake falling in the middle of the continent, with shock waves going out from that point. It was in answer to a prayer she had once dared to say (she was a fan of crazy, big prayers), "I want to be a leader at the epicenter of a great move of God." Now, it seemed, God was saying "Yes."
A DREAM BECOMES REALITY
Then, one seemingly- ordinary day in a YWAM Pioneering and Leadership training school in Norway, she thought, "Hey, there's a map of Europe. I should see where that epicenter fell in my vision." It was Austria. There was already a team going to Austria.
They invited her to join, which she was already quite interested in doing. God confirmed it, and soon she was on the team.
Her dream is to see millions of people come to Christ- her hero can be theirs, too. She dreams crazy dreams of great movements like this all over Europe and the Western world. Austria is just the beginning.
She is sent out in a ragtag, multi-national team of six by YWAM Norway and by you. She always liked shared adventures best, anyway. So, welcome to the story. =)
